This application report shows how to operate the TPS6116x integrated circuits (IC) with two separate input power rails, one for the boost power stage and one to power the IC itself. The TPS6116x family of devices are simple, white LED drivers that can drive up to 10 LEDs in series. The CTRL pin on these devices is the input for the integrated analog dimming circuitry but can only be used for PWM signals switching higher than 5 kHz.
