  AN57, the Video Circuit Collection, features a variety of video circuits designed at LTC. The LT1204 70MHz multiplexer is featured in a number of circuits which require excellent video isolation from channel to channel.   INTRODUCTION
  Even in a time of rapidly advancing digital image processing, analog video signal processing still remains eminently
  viable. The video A/D converters need a supply of properly
  amplified, limited, DC restored, clamped, clipped, contoured, multiplexed, faded and filtered analog video before
  they can accomplish anything. After the digital magic is
  performed, there is usually more amplifying and п¬Ѓltering
  to do as an adjunct to the D/A conversion process, not to mention all those pesky cables to drive. The analog way
  is often the most expedient and efficient, and you don’t
  have to write all that code.
  The foregoing is only partly in jest. The experienced engineer
  will use whatever method will properly get the job done;
  analog, digital or magic (more realistically, a combination
  of all three). Presented here is a collection of analog video

  Introduction
  The LTC®2433-1 is a high performance 16-bit Delta-Sigma ADC for DC measurements. With an input noise floor
  of 1.45ОјVRMS and a reference range of 100mV to VCC,
  the input resolution and range can be optimized for a
  wide variety of applications. The flexible SPI interface
  can be configured to self-clock, simplifying isolation
  or level shifting of digital signals in applications where
  the ADC must be referenced to a different potential than
  the data acquisition system. asynchronous communication schemes such as RS232.
  Unfortunately, the internal oscillator tolerance makes it
  risky to receive all 19 bits asynchronously. One solution
  is to apply a crystal-controlled clock signal to the FO
  pin, but there is a simpler (and cheaper) way. Data Transfer
  Figure 1a shows a –48V telecom supply current monitor
  with a 5.4A full scale. The LTC2433-1 serial interface is
  configured for internal serial clock, continuous conversion mode. This mode is selected by tying chip select
  low and pulling SCK high at power-up. In this mode,
  the LTC2433-1 continuously converts at 6.8 samples
  per second and clocks out its data at a serial data rate

  by Brendan Whelan Why Voltage References? 5V It is an analog world. All electronic
  devices must in some way interact with
  the “real” world, whether they are in
  an automobile, microwave oven or cell
  phone. To do that, electronics must be
  able to map real world measurements
  (speed, pressure, length, temperature)
  to a measurable quantity in the electronics world (voltage). Of course, to
  measure voltage, you need a standard
  to measure against. That standard is
  a voltage reference. The question for
  any system designer is not whether he
  needs a voltage reference, but rather,
  which one?
  A voltage reference is simply that—a
  circuit or circuit element that provides
  a known potential for as long as the circuit requires it. This may be minutes,
  hours or years. If a product requires
