This report introduces a high-efficiency, Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) Powered Device (PD) that complies with the Type 2, Class 4 power requirements outlined in the IEEE802.3at Draft 3.3 standard. The standard permits a Type 2, Class 4 PD to draw up to 25.5 W of power at the Power Interface (PI) when connected to compatible Type 2 Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE) using Type 2 compliant cabling.
