The CN3165 is a complete constant-current /constant ⚫ Automatic charge current adjustment based on voltage linear charger for single cell Li-ion and Li the output capability of input power supply Polymer batteries. The device contains an on-chip ⚫ Suitable for Solar-Powered System power MOSFET and eliminates the need for the ⚫ On-chip Power MOSFET external sense resistor and blocking diode. An ⚫ No external Blocking Diode or Current Sense on-chip adaptive cell can adjust charging current Resistors Required automatically based on the output capability of input ⚫ Preset 4.2V regulation voltage with 1% power supply, so CN3165 is ideally suited for solar accuracy, upwards adjustable with a resistor powered system. Thermal feedback regulates the ⚫ Precharge Conditioning for Reviving Deeply charge current to limit the die temperature during Discharged Cells and Minimizing Heat high power operation or high ambient temperature. Dissipation During Initial Stage of Charge The regulation voltage is internally fixed at 4.2V ⚫ Continuous Charge Current Up to 1A with 1% accuracy, it can also be adjusted upwards ⚫ Constant-Current/Constant-Voltage Operation with an external resistor. The charge current can be with Thermal Regulation to Maximize Charge set externally with a single resistor. When the input Rate Without Risk of Overheating supply is removed, the CN3165 automatically enters ⚫ Automatic Low-Power Sleep Mode When Input a low power sleep mode , dropping the battery drain Supply Voltage is Removed current to less than 3uA. Other features include ⚫ Status Indication for LEDs or uP Interface undervoltage lockout, automatic recharge, battery ⚫ C/10 Charge Termination temperature sensing and charging/termination ⚫ Automatic Recharge indicator. ⚫ Battery Temperature Sensing The CN3165 is available in 8-pin DFN package. ⚫ Available in DFN-8 Package ⚫ Pb-free, rohs-Compliant and Halogen Free
